California’s housing crisis has many components, homelessness, affordability, regulations, and lack of supply. Inequities in housing practices and policies have and continue to be a long standing issue for people of color. Dating back to redlining practices via federal and state laws, and to a larger extent current regulations have all had adversely impacted homeownership for people of color in California.
