Assembly Tells Congress to Immediately Act on DACA

(Sacramento) – Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D-Fullerton) voiced her strong support for Dreamers and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program during the debate on House Resolution 66 in the State Assembly. HR 66 condemns President Trump's decision to revoke the current version of DACA and pushes Congress to develop a bipartisan and effective version of the Dream Act that includes a pathway to citizenship for the estimated 800-thousand young people brought to this country as children.
