Sharon Quirk-Silva Honors the Many Contributions of Korean Americans

For immediate release:

SACRAMENTO – Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva (D – Orange County) made the following statement today on the Assembly floor:

“Assembly Concurrent Resolution 3 speaks to the proud and rich history of a people in search of opportunity, and the freedoms America presents to those who want to make a better life for their families and children. Orange County is emblematic of that journey as the vast majority of Koreans in Orange County are foreign born… Businesses that serve the community are flourishing, and growing. Nearly one out of every five members of the Korean community is self-employed – working to secure their futures for themselves, and their families.”

Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk represents the 65th Assembly District, which includes the Orange County communities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, Garden Grove, La Palma, and Stanton.
