Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva Celebrates $4 Million State Budget Check for Korean American National Museum
As an Assemblywoman, I am honored to present the $4 million in State Budget funding for the Korean American National Museum. This museum will recognize the rich narrative of the Korean American culture and contributions to our nation and State. Thank you to all of those who advocated for this museum and never lost sight of this goal.
“Museums are educational gateways for Americans and the world to see the United States’ rich history. With the $4 million the California State Budget awarded for the Korean American National Museum, we are all able to recognize the rich narrative of the Korean American culture and ensure an eye opening experience for all. As my Assembly District is home to many Korean Americans, I have seen directly the wonderful contributions they have offered in all facets of our community and excited for that to be reflected in this Museum.”
It was great to stand with Assemblymember Miguel Santiago, Senator María Elena Durazo, Senator Holly J. Mitchell, City of Los Angeles Herb J. Wesson Jr. Councilmember. Korean American National Museum Board Chair Jae Min Chang, and Morphosis Architect Eui-Sung Yie, to celebrate this momentous occasion.
