A Weekend of Fun at the Orange County Arirang Festival!

Celebrate culture and heritage through lively song, dance and food at the 33rd Arirang Festival!

Earlier this year, I stood on the floor of the California State Assembly to speak on Assembly Concurrent Resolution 128 (ACR 128), which recognizes and celebrates October 20, 2017 as Arirang Day.

This event is a great tradition that honors the culture and contributions of Korean Americans to California. As a State recognized holiday, we help empower the Korean community throughout California and invigorate our local economy through a celebration of customs and culture during the 33rd Annual Arirang Festival in Orange County.

The Festival's beginnings date back to 1981 when it was known as Korea Day. The name later changed to the Orange County Korean Festival. The event took place in Garden Grove, but moved to Buena Park in 2013 with a new name – Arirang Festival – to reflect the event's participating culture
